Thanks to the rain this year, Carrizo Plain National Monument, an out-of-the-way grassland and dry lake bed in a remote area east of San Luis Obispo, has erupted with wildflowers!! We made a one day road trip and got these images. I’ve never seen an endless field of yellow blooms like that before! My favorite image is the one of Soda lake next to the field of yellow flowers with the colorful Temblor Range in the background.
